Christian, Christian, What Do You See? I see God Smiling at Me

Some see snow and say, “It’s Cold;”
Others see snow, a sight to behold.
Some see mountains in the way;
Others see mountains, God’s display.
Some see men, and all their sin;
Others see men, and potential within.
Some hear music and point out the wrong;
Others hear harmonies, lyrics, and songs.
Some see bugs and birds as pests;
Others see helpers and intricate nests.
Some see people and all their flaws;
Others see mankind, creatures of God.
Some see a life and call it a fetus;
Others see a baby ready to greet us.
Some see failures, regrets, and mistakes;
Others see growth, hope, and retakes.
Some see hardship and run away;
Others see trials and choose to stay.
Some to find comfort, rest, and ease;
Others to find sin’s remedies.
Some fall and choose to stay down;
Others arise with their feet on the ground.
Some speak words with grace and life;
Others speak words that cut like a knife.
Some use fear, guilt, manipulation;
Others choose love and inspiration.
Some say, “God, He is not there;”
Others say, “God, He is everywhere.”

In snow,
In mountains,
In people,
and songs.
In flaws,
In mistakes,
Making right from the wrong.
In babies,
In life,
In nature,
and pain.
In trials,
Temptations,
In Failures,
and chains.
In beauty,
In freedom,
In good times,
And bad.
Mending our hearts, as a heavenly Dad.

God, remove the lens that tells us lies
And let us see life through Your eyes.
